MOVEMENTS & INJURIES
31-Jul-06 Signed as an unrestricted free agent by the Detroit Red Wings to a one-year contract.

13-May-06 Missed the last 25 games of the regular season, all 5 games of Round One against the Tampa Bay Lightning and all 5 games of Round Two against the Buffalo Sabres.

21-Feb-06 Groin, sidelined indefinitely.

ASSETS: Has a wealth of experience, which he uses to full advantage. Moves exceptionally well in the crease. Never quits on a play.
FLAWS: Has lost some of his flexibility over time. Doesn't have anything left to prove, so his motivation is not what it used to be. Is a high-maintenance goaltender nowadays.
CAREER POTENTIAL: No. 1 goalie.

he will be an asset to detroit. I believe he will help the team as much as possible.

I think the players will have more faith in him. because i mean, manny wasnt a big time playoff goalie, maybe now there will be some confidence between the pipes and we will have alot better show down.

he will be beneficial in more than one way. This goalie is the best in the League right now and plays really well for his age!:)

Hasek?! Ugh! Never liked the guy.

Nagano 1998 still rings in my mind every time I see him play.

I know we won in 2002, and it was great....

But still! There was something about Nagano. :( We should have won!

Yeah.

And what kind of effort was that?! :thumbsdow BOOO!

It was definitely not worth waking up in the middle of the night for and losing sleep... and on a school day too if I remember correctly.

I remember the call from Bob Cole with a minute and a half left in the game. That was the most thrilled that I have ever been for a goal.

Bob Cole: "Canada, knowing it's nearly done... LINDROS!, Can you do it?! The shot - BLOCKED!, Rebound! WWWWWWHHAT A SAVE BY HASEK!, SCOOOOORRRREES! CANADA SCORES!

Ahh, classic.

But Hasek stole it away. Unforgiveable, no matter how great he is!
