(Sports Network) - The New Jersey Devils began their current five-game road trip with a 2-1 victory in Toronto on November 18.

Then they boarded a plane and flew a few time zones to the left.

Since then the Devils are 0-3, losing at Phoenix, Anaheim and San Jose. On Saturday they were blanked, 2-0, by the Sharks, as Evgeni Nabokov stopped 24 shots for his third shutout of the season.

Martin Brodeur finished with 25 saves in the loss, the Devils' first via shutout this campaign.

New Jersey, which fell to 4-8-0 on the road, had won six of its previous seven games before the current slide.
