(Sports Network) - The New Jersey Devils try to continue their upswing tonight when they host the Carolina Hurricanes to Continental Airlines Arena.

Since a three-game losing skid the team has gotten things back on track, taking three out of four. The victories over that span have come against the Panthers, Blue Jackets and Canadiens, while the loss was at the hands of the Islanders.

On Saturday, Martin Brodeur stopped 33 shots and withstood a late onslaught by the Canadiens, as New Jersey held on to beat Montreal, 2-1, at the Bell Centre in head coach Claude Julien's return to his old home.

Jay Pandolfo and Brian Rafalski tallied the goals for the Devils, who rebounded from Thursday's 5-2 loss to the Islanders.

Brodeur was shelled for five goals on 27 shots in Thursday's defeat, but has surrendered only one goal combined in his last three victories. Overall the future Hall of Famer is 7-5-0 with a 2.75 goals-against average and .908 save percentage in 12 outings this season.

Jersey center Scott Gomez missed Saturday's tilt with a groin injury and is questionable for tonight's match.

The Devs begin a three-game homestand tonight and will host Chicago on Thursday.
