(Sports Network) - A battle of Eastern Conference division leaders takes place tonight at Atlanta's Philips Arena, where the Southeast-leading Thrashers host the Atlantic frontrunners, the New Jersey Devils.

Atlanta has dominated the series between the clubs as of late. The Thrashers have won five straight over New Jersey, including Tuesday's 4-3 shootout thriller at Continental Airlines Arena.

Marian Hossa was the star of that game, netting a pair of shorthanded goals in regulation and scoring again during the shootout portion.

The Thrashers were also 4-3 shootout winners in their most recent contest, which came Thursday at home against Pittsburgh. Hossa and Slava Kozlov each had goals during the deciding phase while Kari Lehtonten recorded 36 saves, 19 of which came in the third period.

Ilya Kovalchuk added a goal and an assist and Hossa also had a pair of helpers for Atlanta, which owns a comfortable six-point edge on Carolina for first place in the Southeast.
