(Sports Network) - The New Jersey Devils seek their third consecutive win tonight when they host the Montreal Canadiens at Continental Airlines Arena.

Since losing four consecutive games out west, the Devils have toppled Pittsburgh and Philadelphia. On Saturday, Brad Lukowich scored shorthanded in the third period to force overtime and the Devils scored twice in the shootout, as New Jersey bested Philadelphia, 4-3.

Zach Parise and Brian Gionta both scored on backhanded shots in the shootout for New Jersey, which improved to a sizzling 9-1-1 at the Meadowlands.

Parise also scored in regulation -- his ninth of the year -- and Patrik Elias tallied his seventh goal of the season for New Jersey, while Martin Brodeur finished with 22 saves.

The Devils, with 30 points, are tied for second in the Atlantic Division with the rival Rangers. The Islanders currently lead the pack with 31.

Jersey will host Philadelphia on Friday.

Montreal, meanwhile, has lost two of its last three games. On Monday the Habs dropped a 6-5 tilt to visiting Boston, as Brad Stuart's goal with 1:48 remaining in regulation lifted the Bruins.
