(Sports Network) - The Atlantic Division-leading New Jersey Devils will shoot for their fourth consecutive victory tonight, when they host the rival new York Rangers at Continental Airlines Arena.

The Devils have 47 points and currently hold a five-point edge over the Rangers for the top spot in the division.

New Jersey's most recent victory came Saturday night against the Islanders. Martin Brodeur made 29 saves to record his sixth shutout of the season, as the Devils blanked the Isles, 2-0, at Nassau Coliseum.

Brodeur now has 86 shutouts over his brilliant career and leads the NHL with six whitewashing's this year.

Brian Rafalski and Patrik Elias tallied the goals for the Devils.

Tonight marks the first of two straight at home for Jersey, which is an impressive 13-3-2 as the host this year. The Devils will also welcome the Islanders on Thursday.

Meanwhile, the Rangers are trying to post back-to-back victories after ending a season-long seven-game losing streak with Saturday's 4-1 win over Washington. Petr Prucha had a pair of goals as New York snapped a lengthy scoreless drought with the triumph at Madison Square Garden.
