Well, if the Sabres don't sign him, Montreal wouldn't have to give anybody up, because he'll be an Unrestricted Free Agent.
I'm not sure Montreal wants him???

I'm not sur about that either (welcome to the forum by the way).
They already have Koivu(1st line), Ribeiro(2nd line), and Higgins(3rd line) up the middle, then Begin taking 4th line duties.
