OSHAWA, Ont. (CP) - Dale Mitchell's second goal of the game, with 1:43 remaining, broke a 3-3 tie and led the Oshawa Generals to a 5-3 win over the Saginaw Spirit Sunday at the General Motors Centre.

Cal Clutterbuck also scored twice for the Generals (14-15-0-3), the second into an empty net with 17 seconds remaining.

Generals defenceman Matt Seegmiller opened the scoring in the game with his first OHL goal 1:41 into the game.

Ryan Berard, Patrick Asselin and Nigel Williams replied for the Spirit (22-11-0-2), who were without four players competing at the World Junior Hockey Championships in Sweden beginning next week.
