RED DEER, Alta. (CP) - Cullen Morin scored in his first game with Red Deer as the Rebels defeated the Kelowna Rockets 4-2 in Western Hockey League action Saturday.
Morin picked the far corner from the left faceoff circle during a five-on-three power play to nab his first Rebels marker.
Dustin Moore scored on a penalty shot after being hauled down on a partial breakaway, while Brett Sutter and Brandon Sutter added one each scored for Red Deer (20-11-3-2).
Justin Bernhardt and Brett Breitkreuz replied for Kelowna (10-20-2-3), which outshot Red Deer 40-30 but consistently coughed up the puck to close out a winless three-game Central Division road trip (0-2-1-0).
