PITTSBURGH (AP) - Pittsburgh Penguins star Sidney Crosby said he was not bothered by any abdominal pain a day after he was speared by New York Islanders forward Jason Blake late in the Penguins' 5-2 win Tuesday night.

"It just kind of knocked the wind out of me," Crosby said in practice Wednesday. "It's not something you want to dwell on. It's done and over; there's a lot more important things to worry about."

No penalty was called after the incident, which took place with about half a minute remaining, but Crosby was assessed an unsportsmanlike conduct minor. Blake was fined US$1,000 by the NHL, but will not be suspended.

While Crosby deflected a barrage of questions about the incident, coach Michel Therrien said he feels that Blake, the Islanders' leading scorer, should have been suspended.

"This is not only my feeling, but our feeling about the incident," Therrien said. "It was a cheap shot, and we're not going to accept those things. We're not going to take it, those types of things."
