(Sports Network) - The Florida Panthers will shoot for their first victory in 2007 tonight, when they welcome the Pittsburgh Penguins to BankAtlantic Center.

The Panthers are on a three-game losing streak (0-1-2) since the start of the new calendar year, but have earned two points during the skid. The team was on the wrong end of a shootout loss Sunday in Vancouver. Josh Green scored the game-winner in the sixth round as the Canucks defeated Florida, 4-3.

In the sixth round, Green skated in on net and buried a wrist shot over the right shoulder of Ed Belfour.

Jozef Stumpel had the last shot for Florida, but Roberto Luongo came up with a body save on a wrist shot for the win. It was the first game for Luongo against his former team after getting traded by the Panthers to Vancouver in the offseason.

Pittsburgh, meanwhile, has dropped two straight contests after getting swept in a home-and-home series with Tampa Bay.

The Lightning earned a shootout win in Sunday's game at Pittsburgh and beat the Pens, 3-2, in Tampa on Tuesday. Martin St. Louis tallied a goal and two assists to lift the Bolts to Tuesday's victory at St. Pete Times Forum.
