(Sports Network) - The Phoenix Coyotes look to extend their best streak in nearly five years when the resurgent club visits the Dallas Stars tonight at the American Airlines Center.

Phoenix has won six consecutive games for the first time since March 3-15, 2002 and have been invincible during this current road trip. The Coyotes have won all four contests thus far on the trek, including Sunday's 4-2 decision over Chicago.

Former Blackhawk Jeremy Roenick had a goal and an assist for the Coyotes, who also received 32 saves in net from Mikael Tellqvist. Phoenix prevailed despite being outshot by a 34-17 margin on the night.

The Coyotes have won five straight on the road overall and are now 8-12-1 as the visitor this season. The club will be shooting for its first seven-game win streak since it ripped off eight in a row from November 16-December 2, 1999.

Phoenix has dropped five straight and seven of its last eight against Dallas, however, including all four meetings so far this season. The Stars posted shutouts in the first three contests between the clubs in 2006-07.

The Coyotes haven't fared badly in the Lone Star State in recent years, though, having split its last six matchups with the Stars in Dallas.

Phoenix will also attempt to win six consecutive road games for the first time since October 26-November 28, 1998.
