(Sports Network) - The Phoenix Coyotes will try to get some momentum going tonight when they welcome the Edmonton Oilers to Glendale Arena.

The Coyotes are off to a dismal 2-8-0 start to the season and are in the midst of a four-game losing streak. They are currently last in the Western Conference standings with just four points.

Wayne Gretzky's club was dealt its most recent setback Tuesday evening ay Calgary. Roman Hamrlik had a goal and an assist, as the Flames battered the Coyotes, 6-1, at the Saddledome.

Mike Morrison allowed three goals on nine shots before being replaced in the second period by Curtis Joseph, who turned aside 18 shots.

Owen Nolan had the lone goal for the Coyotes, who committed 15 penalties and went 0-for-9 with the man advantage.

Coyotes captain Shane Doan suffered back spasms in the loss and is not expected to play tonight. The winger has two goals and five assists through 10 games this year.

Meanwhile, the Oilers are coming off Wednesday's setback in Anaheim. Ryan Getzlaf's two goals and Chris Pronger's three assists helped the Ducks defeat Edmonton, 6-2, at the Honda Center.
