I gave him the benefit of the doubt. Figured he needed a fresh start, but after he tripped over himself and has now missed the better part of a month, there is something really wrong with this guy.

Seems like the calls of Tiny Tim were right and he is just an effing wimp. Either way, if he misses the first 10 games, might as well just cut him loose, without training camp, and no chemistry, he would probably be more of a hindrance than a help to this critical season.

send him to the minors to get him off the books. No one in their right mind would claim this walking bandage off waivers.

When you roll the dice you sometimes hit snake eyes. Burke has done well with the other acquisitions but Connolly is a huge mistake that needs to left behind.

Can they demote him to the ECHL, so that he doesn't poison the Marlies?

You can put him on waivers, and give him his outright release.

Lets face it, his injury history is not bad luck, but simply no pain tolerance/toughness.

Cut him loose.

I can't believe we are calling for him being gone before he has even played a regular season game. I know he's been injured since the pre-season but come on guys let him show us his stuff before you write him off.

He's showed what he has... which is exactly no tolerance for pain.

He is going to come in, screw up the chemistry, then we will be saying give him another few games to find his timing.

If he ever gets healthy, let him play a game, and if he isn't the best center, then he can sit the eff down.

The money is already spent, might as well use him until another option comes along, that is, if and when he's healthy. If he stinks up the joint then their in a pickle. Wouldn't want to pay him a year for nothing without a looksy though.

he is talented enough to play with Kessel, Lupul and leafs actually have enough depth at centre now with Lambardi being far ahead of schedule, Colbourne being in the AHL and Bozak if things get really ugly. He was only given two seasons to show his stuff and if he isn't healthy by that time one of the three players aforementioned should be ready for top line duty. All Connelly really is is a warm body.
