SASKATOON (CP) - Colton Gillies posted the shootout winner as the Saskatoon Blades beat the Seattle Thunderbirds 2-1 in Western Hockey League action Tuesday.
Gaelan Patterson scored in regulation for the Blades (17-23-0-1), who have won nine of their past 10 games. Jan Eberle scored for Seattle (19-11-1-10), who are 0-10 in shootouts this season.
