At first, it looked worrisome.
Four significant members of the Ottawa Senators were not on the ice for Wednesday's practice: Daniel Alfredsson, Alex Kovalev, Andy Sutton and Matt Carkner.
However, in the end, it wasn't as bad as it seemed. They had all been granted maintenance days and will be ready for tonight's game against the Flames, coach Cory Clouston said.
Nick Foligno (broken right leg) and defenceman Filip Kuba (lower body) are making progress in their recoveries in Ottawa. There's a remote chance they could play in Saturday's game in Vancouver, but it's more likely they're rejoin the Senators for practice on Monday in Ottawa.
