New Coke was going to quench thirsts the way Old Coke never could, but when consumers popped the cans, the fizz didn't live up to the buzz.

Remember the XFL? It was going to bring the NFL to its knees, because, well, what American male sports fan wouldn't choose new-age cheerleaders over old-world pigskin? In the end, all the XFL really did was prove that even American football fans have taste. Hey, who knew?

No doubt, Big Z is the top dog on the blueline... and a big one at that too. :laugh:

He's a solid all-around d-man, and is still getting some comparisons to Chris Pronger here and there.

This is exactly the kind of player Boston needed.

Not saying that it was a good thing to lose Thornton of course.

I don't think he'll average 30+ minutes a game all season, but he should finish near the top of the league in that category.
