(Sports Network) - The Carolina Hurricanes try to end a three-game skid tonight when they visit the Colorado Avalanche at the Pepsi Center.

On Friday the Canes dropped a 4-3 overtime decision in Vancouver, as Daniel Sedin scored the game-winner 3:02 into OT to lift the Canucks.

Erik Cole had a goal and two assists for the Hurricanes, who played the third portion of a four-game road trip. Goaltender Cam Ward finished with 27 saves in defeat.

Carolina's Mike Commodore netted the game-tying goal with 2:46 left in the third period to complete a three-goal Hurricanes rally.

The Hurricanes dropped to 7-8-3 on the road and will return home to face Toronto on Friday.

Colorado, meanwhile, has lost three of its last four games. On Saturday the Avs dropped a 5-4 tilt in Los Angeles, as Craig Conroy tallied the game- winner for the Kings. LA overcame an early two-goal deficit en route to the win.
