(Sports Network) - The Florida Panthers try to sweep a home-and-home tonight when they visit the Tampa Bay Lightning at the St. Pete Times Forum.

On Friday, defenseman Jay Bouwmeester scored the game-winning goal midway through the third period, as the Panthers edged the Lightning, 3-2, at Bank Atlantic Center in the set's opener.

Juraj Kolnik and Nathan Horton scored the other goals for the Panthers, who won their second straight overall and third straight in-a-row home. Olli Jokinen added a pair of assists and is tied for the NHL scoring lead with eight points (3g, 5a).

Goaltender Alexander Auld, who was acquired from Vancouver in the Roberto Luongo/Todd Bertuzzi trade, finished with 21 saves. Auld has stopped 157 of the 168 shots he has faced so far in the young season.

The Panthers will visit Washington on Wednesday.

Vincent Lecavalier and Ryan Craig scored for the Lightning, who lost their third straight match after a season-opening win over Atlanta. Goaltender Johan Holmqvist blocked 24-of-27 shots in defeat.
