(Sports Network) - The Montreal Canadiens will try to begin a new win streak this evening when they visit the Washington Capitals at the Verizon Center.

The Canadiens had a season-long five-game winning streak halted Saturday evening in Boston. Milan Jurcina and Stanislav Chistov scored in the final frame to lift the Bruins to a 4-2 victory at TD Banknorth Garden.

Mike Komisarek and Michael Ryder scored for the Canadiens, who were in the midst of their longest winning stretch since taking eight consecutive games from March 23-April 6 of last season.

Cristobal Huet allowed four goals on 31 shots for Montreal.

The Canadiens, who are 9-5-2 as the visiting team this season, are playing the second test of a four-game road trip tonight.

Meanwhile, the Capitals will try to bounce back from Tuesday night's setback in Buffalo. Chris Drury had two goals and a pair of assists as the Sabres dropped Washington, 6-3, at HSBC Arena.
