(Sports Network) - The Vancouver Canucks will try to stay on the winning course tonight when they host the Washington Capitals at GM Place.

Vancouver is coming off Wednesday's impressive 5-0 win over the Chicago Blackhawks in which goaltender Roberto Luongo made 32 saves. It was the first shutout for Luongo since joining the club in the offseason.

The Canucks acquired Luongo, a former Vezina finalist, from Florida in an offseason trade that saw Todd Bertuzzi shipped to the Panthers. The shutout for Luongo was the 28th of his career and the first against Chicago in seven games.

Henrik Sedin scored two goals against the Blackhawks while his brother, Daniel, finished with three assists for the Canucks, who have won three of four and four of their last six contests.

Meanwhile, the Capitals ended a two-game losing streak with Wednesday's 5-3 victory over the Colorado Avalanche.

Caps netminder Olaf Kolzig stopped 45 shots at Pepsi Center, while star Alexander Ovechkin and Dainius Zubrus each scored goals in the victory.
