Despite what you've come to believe about the cliche, not often do hockey teams talk the talk, then walk the walk. Usually, it's the other way around.

First walk. Or, rather, stagger, stumble, face-plant. Then talk about the fall.

See, when the walking is good, erect and in a straight line, what is there to talk about?

The Vancouver Canucks walked like runway models for two games, all bold and stylish. Not much need for talking. Then, Sunday in Denver, they walked like a sleepy one-year-old, or Charlie Sheen after happy hour.

So Monday, the Canucks talked.
