Season Series -- It's the first game for both teams, who were 2-2-2 in 2008-09. The final preseason game between the teams on Sept. 26 might provide a good idea of what to expect. Goalies Miikka Kiprusoff and Roberto Luongo both looked like they were ready to go, stopping 35 and 24 shots respectively, and Alberta native Mason Raymond's sleek shootout goal against Kiprusoff wowed the Calgary crowd and gave the Canucks a win.​

The season starts, hell yeah!​

A shaky start cost the Canucks in this one.

After the first period was done the Canucks dominated the flames but could not over come the 3 -0 lead they spotted the Flames.

The Canucks looked good last night and played great , luongo after a shaky start settled in nicely.

Other then the first the Canucks had a steady game, the Flames came at them way to hard in the first and I think it wore on them the rest of the game good thing Kipper saved the Flames in this one....​
