Canadian minor hockey players to join starting lineup at 2007 NHL All-Star Game in Dallas

TORONTO - McDonald's Restaurants of Canada Limited, the National Hockey League and the National Hockey League Players' Association today announced an innovative new program that will allow 12 young hockey players to join an NHL® All-Star player on-ice during the singing of the national anthems at the 2007 NHL® All-Star Game in Dallas, Texas on January 24th 2007.

Starting on November 1, 2006 through to December 17, 2006, parents can enter for a chance to win at The young hockey players must be between the ages of 7 and 12, residents of Canada, registered in a recognized Hockey Canada program or league and able to ice skate.

"The McDonald's In The Line Up program presents an incomparable experience for 12 young hockey players in Canada," said Louie Mele, President, McDonald's Restaurants of Canada Limited. "For the first time ever twelve children from Canadian communities will have the chance to actually skate and be with the NHL's greatest players at an All-Star game."

Twelve regional winners, one from each Province and two from the territories, will be randomly selected to fly with their child to Dallas, Texas for the 2007 NHL® All-Star Game festivities. The twelve winners' children will have the opportunity to step onto the ice and join the NHL All Stars during player introductions at the opening ceremonies, and stand with their heroes during the singing of the national anthems.
