Hmm, I'm pretty sure that Canada won't be able to out score Russia.

Who knows? I really enjoy that there is no clear winner. They all have to play hard each game and it makes for some great hockey. How boring would it be if it was like the women's and it was a guaranteed Can vs USA for the gold?

If i'm looking at the draw correctly, barring any upsets today it looks like a Canada vs. Russia matchup will be next, while USA will likely get the Swiss. The seedings are big right now as for Canada to win gold they will likely have to beat Russia, then either Sweden or Slovakia, and then USA, that's rough for them. That would be 3 tough games back to back to back. USA has a much easier route to the gold medal match. I wouldn't be surprised if USA wins the gold now actually after seeing the potential matchups and i still think Russia hasn't played to it's best level yet this olympics so that Canada vs. Russia game next round could be nasty and just adds more to the Ovie vs. Sid rivalry.
Yeah if they don´t get their act together, they won´t beat Russia.

Canada has the players to make it to the gold medal round. even though Russia is Playing very well its hard to play a team with 4 lines of all star offense and big defense. I beleive that it will be a north american rematch with the upper hand going to the U.S.
It doesn´t matter if they have every top player in the world, they stil have to play like a team, and the players have to know their place on the team.
If they would beat Russia, they would still have to win the semi-finals.
And why would Usa beat Canada when you say they have such a strong team?

If you are or have been watching the Canda game today it is obvious they do know how to play as a team. U.S. can beat them because they capitalize on mistakes which happens with every team
Yes i´m watching the game, but they´re playing Germany!!
Don´t you think Russia can capitalize on their mistakes, with the best offensive players in the world?

Even though Germany isn't as strong as USA you can tell that Canada is bringing a different game than what they showed in their loss to the US. IMO its appears to be a good thing they lost so it lit a fire under their butts and playing like they should have been the entire time.

The question is though, can all those all-stars play together or after their loss to the Americans are they going to try to win it all on their own?

Well looks like this is closer than anyone thought. Now I was rooting for Russia but thought Canada was the better team. What are you guys thinking now?

IF Canada plays the rest of the tournament the way they played the first 30 min of this game, Miller will have to be twice as good as he was the other night, if we meet in the gold medal game.

Now to qualify the game the Canadaians played tonight was ome of hte best hockey I have seen. BUt yes the power of this team was in full force. The only thing that could save any team, is an amazing-stop-everything goalie, and I have to admit Miller can be one of those goalies.
Let's not get ahead of oursevles though. THere is still a touhgh game to go before any thought of a gold medal match between the US and CAN be considered.
I don't envy the US either the Finns or the Czechs.

Unfortunatley they did. I expected that game was going to be tight to the end. But Canada ran away with it
