From what i was watching last night in my point of view I think Canada is gonna have a tough Olympic Tournament. If they are only beating Switzerland by only 1 goal what are they going to do when they have to face teams Like Russia, United States and Sweden I dont know about you guys but from what im seeing its gonna be a very tough tournament for Canada.

I've said all along that this is by no means a given that Canada will win Gold. There are several very goods teams, and on any night a goalie like Hiller or Halak can give their team a chance to win.

I think it´s very good for them to play a below average game now in the beginnings. It wakes the players up and makes them realize that they haven´t won anything yet and that they aren´t going to win anything without a struggle.

Can't wait for Usa to take on Canada. Since i saw Canada almost got upset by Swiss. I think Usa can beat Canada.

The thing with this tournament is, that one hot goaltender can win the whole thing for you. If you get into the Tournament and you have a goaltender that's just got a 6 by 4 brick wall behind them then any team can win.

It's the Olympics. It shouldn't be an easy tournament, no matter who you are.
Precisely. These are (arguably) the best athletes that each nation has to offer. We should not be shocked if any one team is able to win a medal, let alone beat Canada. Sure, some teams (Canada) seem to have an advantage, but by no means is any one team a lock win this tournament. After all, just because Canada may be jam packed with NHL talent, doesn't mean that they couldn't just as easily slip up in one game and see their dreams dashed.

Canada might not even get bronze now.
Even if Canada wins tommorow, if they start off with Brodeur on Wednesday, Russia might win like 11-4 =D
Volchenkie! Gonie(Gonchar)! Kovie! Ovie!! Malkie! SemSem(Semin)! Radie(Radulov)!
... on the other hand, Russia has such a bad defence.

Anyone here honestly think Canada has a good chance against Russia?

I think the system is a bit messed up though, obviously Canada is better than Finland 0.o
