The Eh team beat us! You syrup-sucking moose lickers! Haha, just kidding, congrats to you Hockey Canada supporters in the Forum. You beat the number one seeded team in the tournament when it mattered most. Now I have to wait another 4 years for my team to get another shot. You know, my brother and I argued over whether or not we would rather win the bronze than lose the gold and gain silver. of course, receiving the silver says you made it to the Final, you were one of the top two, but the deflating feeling after losing that game certainly doesn't make it feel like we won anything. However, I am proud of my boys representing the Stars and Stripes. they did better than many thought they would, and they brought him a silver medal. Once again though, congrats to the Canadians. They did not give up after letting in that late goal and they played much better than the US in OT. Maybe in Soshi, we will meet again...

It is a little early in both of their careers to say we can determine which one will "go down [in hisotry]" as the more celebrated. Yes, Crosby has all of the hardware right now, but they (hopefully) still have a lot of games ahead of them. How did this thread turn into Crosby v. Ovechkin?

You beat us in the World Juniors, but we won the Granddaddy of them all, Olympics on home soil.
USA Hockey is in great shape, Juniors and Seniors, producing players that play like Canadians.

Exactly. Preliminary round was virtually meaningless.
Canada is 2 and 0 vs the USA in Gold Medal games in the
last 8 years. We got it on lock.
