Congrats to Canada on a great Olympics. That was one heck of a gold medal game, and if I had to have one guy score to beat the US, I'm glad it was Sid. The American team played so hard throughout the tourney, and after Parise came up clutch yet again to tie the game, I was almost sure they were going to pull it off. In the end Canada's talent prevailed, and my hat's off to them.

For bragging rights I had Canada over Russia and USA over Finland for my final games.

@Badat and Buick - Does trolling ever get old?
Hey Badat

Iggy set up the game winning goal!!!

wow huge win for the guys!!! that was a physical game. I gotta ask since when does Jack Johnson think hes a tough guy? and Langenbruner needed someone to take his head off head off.Nash Toews Richards and Doughty are the unsung heros for Canada most consistent for the team all tournament. Gold Baby and in 2014 Canada will be even more scarier waaaatch out!

That seemed to be between mostly Getzlaf, Perry, and Johnson. The Kings and the Ducks will never get along...

That being said I think it's pretty easy to be tough when you know you don't have to fight.

What's even funnier is thinking about the guys that haven't gotten along in the past on the same team. Crosby and Richards, Getzlaf and Thornton, Getzlaf and Doughty, Perry and...everyone, Pronger and...everyone.

Did anyone else notice Luongo appear to get in teammate Ryan Kessler's face when Kessler crashed his crease late?

I think USA will have an even better team next winter Olympics. Defense will improve with Myers height on board. If he makes it. Hopefully some other solid goaltenders like Ryan MIller will come Along. Offense will still maybe have the guy's maybe a little more new guy's. so watch out next Olympics!

Canada will too. Guys like Duchene, Stamkos, Tavares and the guys who will be returning like Doughty, Keith, Seabrook, Crosby, Nash.

Is this the correct place where I get to eat my crow about not liking the pick of Jonathon Toews?

Looking back, if you had to select a player in this tournament to replace on team, Canada, who would it be? And don't say nobody cause a) not everyone played that well and b) that's boring.

It will probably be Nash's last Olympics.

We all know that 25 is the new 45.
I can remember an old poster on another board that was totally anti Nash and said he would never play again for Canada after 2006.

He is always goign to be in the mix. I would not be surprised if he gets bumped for the next Olympics though.

With Players like Stamkos, Duchene and Tavares on the horizon it is not out of the realm of possibility that this was Nash's last Olympics.

Nash can be one of the top 5 dominant forwards in the league if he had the talent to surround him. He plays with Huselius and Vermette? he's 6'4 235 pounds and can skate faster then 90% of the league. be serious he's only 25 turning 26 he will be 29 next olympics..

IF he doesn't exert himself on the opposition then he will be left off the team.

When given a chance with Crosby he failed. He did very well with Toews and Richards on the so-called 4th line.

HE is a complimentary player when it comes to team Canada. That is no slight on him since to be a top 30 Canadian forward means that you would be a lock on any other Olympic team.

Right now if I have my choice of Carter, Nash or Stamkos the decision is easy. Stamkos all the way. Who knows how much Duchene or Tavares or even projected #1 Hall will have developed by December 2011?

Lucic was invited to the tryout camp this year, will he be a 30 goal scorer in 2011?

You might be able to pencil in 1/2 of team Canada's lineup for 2012 right now but Nash is not a guarantee. Being a natural winger on a team full of Superstar Centers helps him but it doesn't make him a shoe-in.

Stamkos is a stud I dont disagree, but who would u rather have, Perry, Staal, Lucic,
or Nash...not even a question. Taylor hall will be better then Tavares mark my words.

Staal, Lucic, Nash, Perry in that order for the NHL. For the Olympics where there is no fighting, Staal, Nash, Perry, Lucic.

I just view Staal as the better player.
