G Martin Brodeur​

The all-time great is Canada's best bet in net. He's participated in past Olympics and seems to always bring his game to the next level when he's playing for Canada, as evidenced by him being Canada's best player in the 2006 Olympics. He's got a sparkling .920SV% and a 2.15GAA this NHL season.

D Scott Niedermayer​

Niedermayer's struggling this season, but after being named Captain of Team Canada, he'll have to step it up. His play will be crucial to puck movement and on the powerplay, expect him to play as a rover, like he does in Anaheim.

C Sidney Crosby​

The other generational talent in the Olympics have each other. Sidney Crosby has a backing group of some elite talent. He'll be expected to center the first line and get plenty of powerplay time. These will be his first Olympics and he might be looking to prove something.

well there sure is some surprises Patrice Bergeron and Jonathan Toews just wasted picks in my opinion and also why Mike Green isn,t picked CRAZY!

Steve could have and should picked better players than Teows,Bergeon and Morrow and on defense Mike Green should have been picked over Seabrook but our goalies are picked perfect as long as Brodeur and Luongo are one and two to see who plays best! listen to Don Cherry to night I promise you he won,t like all picks
even how much I love to see Canada win Gold I'm not 100 per cent sure now

The only problem I have with the team is Doughty over Bouwmeester.

We have a terrific offensive rushing Defenseman in Dan Boyle, who also has been great defensively since going to the Sharks. Great duo's like Pronger Niedermayer, who are proven and can play both ends of the ice very well. Pronger can play from the backend and make those passes, while Niedermayer can skate the puck out with the best of them.

The truth is, we do not need Green.

are you feeling okay!Teows,Bergeon,Morrow are all wasted picks and there is lots of players they could have picked instead including Savard didn,t even get a tryout especially Bergeon what good is he going to do! and yes Green top defencemen in the league should have been picked!

Green is bad defensively this season. We got guys who are nearly as good as him offensively, but far superior defensively and I am happy.

Bergeron has been better than Savard this year, so I don't know why you bring him up.

okay then just tell the players to be deicated and play defense and don,t worry about scoring goals! because there is 2 players that won,t believe me! my opinion the picks could have been a lot better and the opinion of the hockey world including don cherry!
I will say Team Canada has better picks than USA team! American teams should be thanking are Hockey nation Canada for the Stanley Cup every year haha!

Morrow brings some much needed grit, and if we get into a shootout for a medal Toews may be the best we have. HE has already shown he can handle the pressure of having the entire teams success rest on his stick, while playing on the big stage.

not really wasted picked but we could have picked better yes I know Toews rocked in the shoot out for Canada in the World Juniors couple years ago you guys are the only people I know that likes these picks!

it is a tough call for Gold between Canada and Russia but Canada should pull it it off but powerplays is going to be huge!

if we can,t beat Germany then we shouldn,t be in the Olympics I don,t even think there is an NHL player on Germany I know John Tripp as he played in Oshawa for the Oshawa Generals in the OHL with Marc Savard in 1997

does anyone know if the arena that Canada played in is the General Motors Place where Vancouver Canucks play? because they call it the Hockey Place

Sure Canada had the best Roster, but after the first meeting with Canada it was clear the USA had the best TEAM. They played like it. Unfortunatly for the USA the Best Roster became a a better team in the past week and were just barely good enough to beat them.

when we posted predictions back in posts 35-39 why didn,t you pick USA? because they were not a favorite it was Miller all the way even when USA beat us it was Miller
