EVERETT, Wash. (CP) - Brandon Campos scored twice as the Everett Silvertips counted three goals in the second period on their way to downing the Tri-City Americans 4-1 in Western Hockey League action Tuesday night.
Everett entered the match with a one-point lead over the Americans for top spot in the U.S. Division. Following a scoreless first period, Campos put the home side on the board with a power-play goal 2:16 into the second. He added his third goal of the season at 11:59 and Kyle Beach made it 3-0 on the power play at 14:35.
Zach Hamill completed the scoring for the Silvertips (8-1-0-1) early in the third period.
