The Calgary Hitmen, who lead the Western Hockey League with a record of 40-7-2-1, return to action this weekend with a pair of games.
Friday, the Hitmen head to Red Deer to face their Central Division rival Rebels (SHAW TV, The Fan 960).
Sunday afternoon Calgary returns home to face the Regina Pats in a game featuring three members of Canada's 2009 World Junior Gold Medal Winning Team; Brett Sonne of the Hitmen along with Pats Jordan Eberle and Colton Teubert.
Game time is 2:00 p.m. at the Pengrowth Saddledome.
Sonne is a third round pick of the St. Louis Blues. Eberle, who scored the game tying goal for Team Canada with 5.4 seconds left in their semi-final win over Russia, is a first round selection of the Edmonton Oilers, while Teubert is a first round pick of the Los Angeles Kings.
Sunday is also the Tim Hortons Minor Hockey promotion where 2,000 Tim Hortons Thundersticks will be handed out to fans upon entrance to the building.
