Bryan Little of Colts named top offensive player in OHL awards for October

TORONTO (CP) - Bryan Little of the Barrie Colts was named the Ontario Hockey League's player of the month for October, the league announced Friday.

The Cambridge, Ont., native led the league in scoring with 12 goals, 13 assists and 25 points in 12 games. A first-round pick of the Atlanta Thrashers (12th overall) in this year's draft, Little had seven multi-point games including a six-point game on Oct. 7, against the Erie Otters.

Other award winners include Ryan Wilson of the Sarnia Sting as top defenceman, the Saginaw Spirit's Ryan Daniels for top goaltender and Sam Gagner of the London Knight for top rookie.

In 12 games, Wilson led all defencemen with four goals, 13 assists and 17 points. The Windsor, Ont., native recorded at least one point in all 15 of Sarnia's games this season.
