(Sports Network) - The Boston Bruins will shoot for their fourth consecutive victory when they battle the Washington Capitals tonight at TD Banknorth Garden.

The Bruins' current streak is the longest since the club also won three in a row from January 23-26 of last season.

Boston earned a dramatic victory Thursday over the visiting Toronto Maple Leafs. Patrice Bergeron scored 34 seconds into overtime to give the Bruins a 2-1 victory.

Marco Sturm fluttered a snap shot from the right point that Jean-Sebastien Aubin stopped. Bergeron, though, was left wide open at the left side of the crease, cradled the rebound, and fired the puck into the net to give the Bruins the victory.

Phil Kessel scored in regulation and Brad Boyes had two assists for the Bruins. Boston goaltender Tim Thomas finished with 24 saves.
