BOSTON, MA - Boston Bruins General Manager Peter Chiarelli announced today that the club has re-signed forward Jeff Hoggan.

Hoggan, 29-years old, will return for his second season with the Bruins organization. Last season the forward split time between the Boston and Providence Bruins (AHL).

Last season with Boston, the 6'1", 195-pound Hoggan appeared in 46 games, recorded two assists and 33 penalty minutes. Hoggan tallied 11 points on four goals and seven assists in regular season action with Providence. He also added four goals, three assists and 17 penalty minutes in 13 post-season games for the P-Bruins.

Hoggan played his first NHL season in 2005-2006 for the St. Louis Blues, where he tallied two goals and six assists in 52 games.

The Minnesota Wild originally signed the Hope, British Columbia native as a free agent in 2002, and Hoggan spent two seasons with the Wild's minor league club the Houston Aeros. He then had a short stint with the Worcester IceCats in 2004-2005, before he was signed by St. Louis in August of 2005.
