(Sports Network) - The Boston Bruins finally get to hold their home opener tonight when they welcome the Calgary Flames to the TD Banknorth Garden.

The Bruins have played their first five games on the road, going 1-3-1. The mark includes three consecutive losses.

On Saturday, Boston dropped a 4-1 tilt to the NY Islanders. Jason Blake scored two goals and Mike Dunham stopped 31 shots to lift New York.

Glen Murray scored the lone goal for the Bruins, while goaltender Hannu Toivonen finished with 35 saves in the loss.

Boston has been relegated to the road because of the circus that was held at the TD Banknorth Garden. They are the only team that has not appeared on its home ice this campaign.

The Bruins' offensive attack has sputtered to say the least, managing only 10 goals in the first five games combined. Murray, Patrice Bergeron and Wayne Primeau are tied for the club lead with two goals each, while Zdeno Chara tops the team with five points (0g, 5a).

Boston begins a six-game homestand and will host Buffalo on Saturday.

Calgary, meanwhile, has lost two straight games. On Tuesday the Flames were on the wrong end of a 5-4 contest in Montreal, as Sheldon Souray and Radek Bonk scored two goals apiece to lift the Canadiens.
