(Sports Network) - The Boston Bruins will try to win consecutive games for the first time in over a month as they visit the Washington Capitals tonight at the Verizon Center.

The Bruins ended a five-game skid on Saturday, as they posted an overtime win at Carolina. Zdeno Chara scored the game-winning goal 1:49 into the extra session to lift Boston past the Hurricanes, 4-3, at the RBC Center.

Glenn Murray added a pair of goals for the Bruins, who overcame a 2-0 deficit and then blew a one-goal lead before eventually coming out victorious.

Chara also had a pair of assists for Boston, which won for just the fourth time in 16 outings. It was also the Bruins' first win in their last eight road games. Boston is 9-13-2 as the visiting club this season.

The Bruins haven't strung together back-to-back wins since a three-game streak from December 19-23.
