Bruins assign C Thompson to Providence

BOSTON (AP) -The Boston Bruins assigned center Nate Thompson to Providence on Wednesday, a day after calling him up from their AHL affiliate.
Thompson played four shifts in Boston's 4-1 victory Tuesday night over the Toronto Maple Leafs, the third game he's played for Boston this season.
