Dang, this does not look good for his career... re-occuring injuries are bad news :thumbsdow
Zhitnik, who averages nearly 25 minutes per game, went down in the second period against the Devils and had to be helped off the ice. It was just his seventh game back from a right ankle injury that forced the 33-year-old Russian to miss five contests and the Turin Olympics.
He is in his first season with the Islanders, after leaving the Buffalo Sabres for a four-year, $14 million deal.
Zhitnik had five goals, 24 assists and a plus-4 rating in 59 games.

With Brent Johnson putting DiPietro out for 4-6 weeks (which is a week or two longer than how long he's out for a papercut), and the backup goalie dislocating his knee in warmups, who is in net for thte Isles now?
As most of you know the islanders are considered as one of the worst teams. But for once my home team is in 1st with 4-1-2 this surprised me a lot but they were very good way back and hopefully they have a better season this year!
Looks like El Nino will be a full time NHL player this season. Also looking pretty good that Couturier or Larsson ends up on the Island next...
