(Sports Network) - The surging New Jersey Devils try to win their fifth consecutive game tonight when they visit the New York Rangers at Madison Square Garden.
The Devils have won six of their last seven games overall, including Saturday's 4-2 decision over Florida in the finale of a three-match homestand. Patrik Elias and Sergei Brylin each scored a goal and assisted on another to spearhead the effort.
Zach Parise and Jamie Langenbrunner also scored for the Devils, while Martin Brodeur made 18 saves in the victory.
Elias ended a five-game personal goal-scoring drought, and netted just his third tally of the season.
The Devils' power play came through in a big way Saturday, going 3-for-7 with the man-advantage.
New Jersey, which is 3-4-0 on the road, will host Ottawa on Friday.
New York, meanwhile, is 2-1-1 in its last four games. On Saturday the Rangers dropped a 3-1 tilt in Washington, as Olaf Kolzig made 41 saves -- 20 in the third period -- to lift the Capitals.
