after last night's game smith has fallen to 0-2-2 and a 4.08 GAA and and Nitty has the lighting only 2 wins and a 2.00 GAA. I do understand that last night was smith's first start since "being hit by a truck" and the lighting have never fared well against the senators. but could a goalie controversy be brewing in Tampa.Make no mistake, coach Rick Tocchet said, Mike Smith is the Lightning's No. 1 goaltender. But two good games by backup Antero Niitty*maki means Smith has to stay sharp.
"He's our guy, but he has to perform," Tocchet said Thursday. "He knows it. There's no entitlement here. That's the one thing we changed here. You're not entitled to anything.
