CALGARY (CP) - Brett Sonne scored twice as the Calgary Hitmen downed the Medicine Hat Tigers 7-2 Thursday to extend their Western Hockey League winning streak to five games.
Robin Figren, Freddie Pettersson and Dylan Yeo each had a goal and an assist for the Hitmen (11-6-0-1), while Derek LeBlanc and Carson McMillan also scored. Defenceman Karl Alzner chipped in with a pair of assists. For the Tigers (13-5-0-0), it was their second straight loss to the Hitmen after dropping a 4-2 decision to Calgary in Medicine Hat on Monday.
Derek Dorsett and Scott Wasden scored first period goals as Medicine Hat built up a 2-1 lead. The Hitmen then scored twice in the second and four more in the third to earn the victory.
