TORONTO (CP) - Defenceman Brandon Smith scored on a slapshot in overtime to cap a rally by the visiting Rochester Americans as they nipped the Toronto Marlies 5-4 in an AHL game Sunday.

Rob Globke, Kamil Kreps, Anthony Stewart and Marek Zagrapan also scored for the Amerks, 16-2-1.

Ben Ondrus scored two power-play goals for the Marlies, 7-10-3, while forwards Erik Westrum and John Mitchell added one goal each in front of 2,877 spectators at Ricoh Coliseum. Kris Newbury had two assists.

Craig Anderson stopped 33 shots for the goaltending win, while Justin Pogge made 35 saves for the Marlies.

The Rochester Amerks are still in there winning ways even though I am not in NY anymore.
