TORONTO (CP) - Boyd Devereaux scored his first three goals in a Marlies uniform to lead Toronto to a 4-2 win over the Milwaukee Admirals in American Hockey League action Wednesday.

Alex Foster also scored for the Marlies (8-10-2-1), who won for the third time in their last four games. John Vigilante replied for Milwaukee (7-11-2-0 ), which dropped its third straight.

The Marlies jumped out to a 1-0 lead at the 8:27 mark of the first period when centre Alex Foster scored his first goal of the season in front of a crowd of 2,172 at Ricoh Coliseum.

The Admirals drew even on Vigilante's goal less than two minutes later, but Devereaux's goal at 17:58 put Toronto up 2-1 after 20 minutes of play.

The Marlies extended their lead after Devereaux's second goal of the game at 4:06 of the second period, but Vigilante scored 15 seconds later to make it 3-2 Toronto heading into the third. Devereaux added an empty-net goal in the last second of regulation.

Dev was one of my favorite players in an Oiler uniform ever. Never really panned out in Oiler colours though but I hope he makes the most of this second chance after the Wings dumped him for cap reasons.
