BOUCHERVILLE, Que. (CP) - Baie-Comeau Drakkar forward Francois Bouchard and Rouyn-Noranda Huskies goaltender Jean-Philippe Levasseur were named the QMJHL's offensive and defensive players of the week.
In three games, Bouchard collected two goals and seven assists while maintaining a plus-5 rating. He had a hand in nine of his team's thirteen goals last week.
Joakim Jensen of the Drakkar, Marc-Andre Daneau of the Lewiston Maineiacs and James Sheppard of the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles were also considered.
The defensive player of the week award was given to Levasseur after he won all three games last week.
