Former montreal canadien great Bernard boom boom Geoffrion has died today in a atlanta hospital of stomach cancer he was 75.geoffrion played 14 season in montreal 1950-1964 he then retired, but came out of retirement in 1966 to play with the new york rangers. he then retired for good in 1968. he then became the first head coach of the atlanta flames from 1972-1975.he scored 393 goals in his carrer, he also scored 58 goals in the playoffs.

Boom Boom Geoffrion

He died before they retired his number!?!?! I'm so depressed. He was such a great player overall for those then dominate Canadiens. My hockey coach infact in the 60s when I was 11 called me "Boom boom," because I played the same style of play as him. Boom boom is infact one of the first players I knew besides Maurice Richard. Geoffrien is one of my top 5 favourite players of all time! I'm so sad.

Bernie Geoffrien 1931-2006. You gave me a wonderful nick name.
