(Sports Network) - The New York Rangers will shoot for their second three-game winning streak of the season tonight, when they host the Florida Panthers at Madison Square Garden.
The Rangers were in action Saturday afternoon in Ottawa and earned a 3-1 victory over the Senators. Jaromir Jagr scored a goal and added an assist to lift the Blueshirts to the victory at Scotiabank Place.
Jagr leads the NHL this year in assists (29) and points (43) and has registered 14 points (6 goals, 8 assists) in his last nine contests.
Henrik Lundqvist stopped 34-of-35 shots and Martin Straka tallied his 16th goal of the season and added an assist for the Rangers, who have only one regulation loss in their last nine games (5-1-3).
New York is currently second in the Atlantic Division standings with 34 points, but can tie idle New Jersey with a win tonight.
