(Sports Network) - The St. Louis Blues will try to halt a five-game losing streak tonight, when they visit the Detroit Red Wings in the finale of a home- and-home series at Joe Louis Arena.

The Red Wings opened the series with Tuesday's 5-1 victory at Scottrade Center. The lopsided contest spoiled a special night for the Blues, as they retired Brett Hull's No. 16 in a pre-game ceremony.

Hull, who finished his brilliant 19-year NHL career in third place on the all- time goal scoring list with 741, was introduced and enjoyed a lengthy standing ovation. Hull is the sixth player in Blues history to have his number retired. The others are Bob Gassoff (No. 3), Barclay Plager (No. 8), Brian Sutter (No. 11), Bernie Federko (No. 24) and Al MacInnis (No. 2).

Dominik Hasek led the way with 24 saves for Detroit. Henrik Zetterberg, Pavel Datsyuk, Valtteri Filppula, Robert Lang and Dan Cleary scored for the Red Wings, who have won three of their last four games following an 0-2-3 skid.
