(Sports Network) - The Central Division-leading Nashville Predators will battle the last-place St. Louis Blues tonight, as the teams meet at Gaylord Entertainment Center.
The Predators were in action Friday evening in Chicago and posted an easy victory. Scott Hartnell scored two goals and Paul Kariya had a four-point night with a goal and three assists as Nashville crushed the Blackhawks, 8-3, at the United Center.
Jason Arnott and David Legwand each had a goal and two assists while Chris Mason finished with 35 saves for the Predators.
The Preds have won four of their last six games and are in first place in the Central Division. Nashville has 57 points and leads the division by two points over the Detroit Red Wings.
Tonight marks the opener of a three-game homestand for the Predators, who are 12-3-3 as the host this season.
Nashville hopes to have No. 1 goaltender Tomas Vokoun back in net tonight after he missed the last 20 games with a thumb injury. He is listed as questionable for tonight's contest. Chris Mason did an excellent job in Vokoun's absence, going 12-6-1 with a .929 save percentage in 19 games.
The Blues recently played a two-game home set against Chicago and earned a split in the series. The Blackhawks won Tuesday's game, 4-1, but St. Louis rebounded with a shutout victory in Thursday's test.
