ST. LOUIS (Ticker) - St. Louis Blues defenceman Jay McKee underwent successful surgery on his fractured right hand, the team announced Monday.

The operation, which was performed by Dr. Charles A. Goldfarb, is expected to sideline McKee for four to six weeks.

One of the league's elite shot blockers, McKee was injured in the first period of Friday's game against Vancouver when he got in the way of a shot by Canucks defenseman Rory Fitzpatrick.
