(Sports Network) - The Chicago Blackhawks will try to get back on the winning track this evening when they host the St. Louis Blues at the United Center.

Chicago had a two-game winning streak come to an end with Friday's 5-4 loss to the Dallas Stars at American Airlines Center.

Martin Lapointe scored late in the third period to give Chicago a 4-3 lead but goaltender Brian Boucher allowed two more goals for the loss. Boucher had 33 saves and Rene Bourque and Lasse Kukkonen each had a goal and an assist.

Mikael Holmqvist lit the lamp for the Blackhawks, who will open a three-game homestand after Saturday's tilt versus St. Louis.

Meanwhile, the Blues have dropped two in a row and are just 2-5 on the young 2006-07 season.

On Friday St. Louis suffered a 3-2 overtime loss against the Vancouver Canucks. Sami Salo netted the game-winning marker as time expired in the extra period to lift Vancouver.

Petr Cjanek and Lee Stempniak each scored a goal and Keith Tkachuk had two assists for the Blues, while goaltender Curtis Sanford made 36 saves.
